Located in Salaberry-de-Valleyfield, Oxygène Régional has been in operation since 1965.
The company distributes its gas cylinders and specialized products throughout the Suroît region and surrounding areas, serving a vast territory. Over the years, Oxygène Régional has continued to grow in order to better meet the needs of an ever-expanding customer base.
Founded by Jos Gaboury, with the unwavering support of his wife Marielle, Oxygène Régional was built on values of hard work, commitment, and close relationships with its customers. The company’s very first employee, Denis Rochefort, is still an active member of the team today, working in sales.
Small and modest in its early days, the company gradually established itself as a leader in its industry. Oxygène Régional is, above all, a family story. In 1979, Pierre Gaboury joined the company and worked his way up to become president and later co-owner alongside his brother-in-law, Serge Laplante. His wife, Maryse, also contributed to the company’s growth for many years.
Today, the next generation is represented by Yannick Gaboury, Pierre’s son, along with his business partners Guy Courchesne and Michel Picard. Together, they continue the family legacy with passion while bringing a modern and forward-thinking vision to the company.
Over the years, the company has also experienced important changes. The Cornwall branch was recently sold, and Oxygène Régional now operates as an independent company, allowing the team to focus on its customers and its extensive service territory.
Today, Oxygène Régional has nearly 20 employees, including two sales representatives on the road and a team of delivery drivers who travel throughout the Suroît region and surrounding areas every day. This strong presence in the field allows us to stay close to our customers and respond quickly to their needs while providing fast, efficient, and personalized service.
The welding industry remains at the heart of our business. In-store, customers can find a complete range of products, including welding helmets, torches, welding machines, tools, production equipment, plasma cutting machines, and much more. The addition of vending machines has further expanded our offering, providing customers with convenient and quick access to essential products.
Our goal has remained the same since the beginning: to be there for our customers, understand their needs, and provide them with the best solutions.
